Tallinn 2011 presents a unique theatre project
At the top floor of the Standard building in Tallinn, three scientists have settled with a group of test subjects. Using a controversial psychiatric-organic approach, they have achieved remarkable results with a group of youngsters, who have developed extraordinary behavior and paranormal abilities, yet unseen by the scientific community. The scientists´ quest is to create a new race, able to communicate beyond words. At present, the test subjects have little recollection of their former lives, suspended in a mentally regressed or childlike state, where the scientists serve as substitute parents. The subjects develop new unusual skills daily. However, the members of the group are so profoundly connected, that it is no longer necessary or logical to talk about individual beings. The next phase of the experiment will involve separating the test subjects from each other, and placing them away from the institute. For this purpose, they need people who are willing to open their homes and take on the responsibility of caring for a test subject. These 'foster parents' will be paid a substantial fee, but must also sign a contract of silence, and an agreement that they will follow all instructions given by the scientists. Potential 'foster parents' will have to undergo tests to prove that they are suitable, and must participate in a course that educates them on how to treat and live with the test subjects. "Bleier Research Incorporated“ takes place in Standard building (Kopli 25) from 8.–11. December and 13.–15. December. Performances start every day at 16.00 and 20.00. Tickets are on sale at Piletilevi for 12€, reduced price for students and retirees 10€.
